Telehealth Virtual Visits with Your Granite Peaks GI Provider

Granite Peaks GI offers telehealth clinic visits with our providers. Telemedicine has been around for a while and for some gastrointestinal conditions, it’s a natural fit. We know it’s not always easy to get away for a doctor’s appointment. This convenient new option allows you to have a virtual visit with your gastroenterology specialist from the comfort and privacy of your home. It doesn’t matter whether you live in Utah County, Salt Lake County, Summit County or beyond, you can visit with your provider for important digestive health care.

It’s easy! If your condition and symptoms make a telehealth virtual visit an option for you, our staff will schedule you to have an online, face-to-face conversation with your gastroenterology provider via home computer, tablet or cell phone. Think of it as a virtual house call.

You are still required to provide full medical information for telehealth appointments. A few days before your appointment you will receive an email and text invitation to complete your electronic registration forms. There are additional forms to sign because we are visiting electronically. Please be sure you complete your registration prior to your appointment time.

Shortly before your telehealth virtual visit, our office will contact you to confirm that your registration forms have been received, verify your information and take your payment for the visit. Your provider’s medical assistant will gather your health information and then connect you with your provider.

Be sure you are signed onto your visit 10 minutes early for the Medical Assistant to help you prepare for your visit.

Obviously, a virtual visit doesn’t work for every healthcare appointment and not every provider offers them, but it’s a convenient option in some cases. Most insurance plans cover virtual visits as they would an office visit. Check with your insurance plan to learn more about their coverage of virtual visits.
